This educational conference will provide an overview of current and changing concepts in the care of children with cardiovascular problems. The activity is designed for physicians in pediatric, general and family practice, as well as neonatologists, emergency physicians, nurses and medical students.

At the completion of this conference, participants will be better able to:

  • Recognize and diagnose cardiac problems in the pediatric patient
  • Incorporate guidelines for more effective private-practice management of the pediatric patient with heart disease
  • Identify available alternatives in the treatment of congenital and acquired heart disease in infants and children
